This listing is for our own roving from our flock of Jacob sheep.  We shear our flock every year, sort the wool, and send the fiber to the mill for processing.  This roving is thick and grey colored and was gently washed with only biodegradable soap and hot water. It was lightly picked and carded to keep as much color variation as possible. Jacob roving is very easy to spin for beginning spinners.

The roving is sold in 4 oz or 1 lb bumps..

Jacob sheep are a heritage breed and are part of the animals needing conserving under the Shave 'Em to Save 'Em Program by Livestock Conservancy.  You can find more information about the conservancy and this program here:  https://livestockconservancy.org/index.php/involved/internal/SE2.  When you check out please let us know that you would like your order to contain a sticker for the Shave 'em to Save 'em passport program.

Thank you for supporting our flock of Jacob sheep! Your purchase goes to buying feed to keep our sheep happy and health.

    Jacobs Wool Roving

I am in love with my roving. It is so soft and easy to work with. I've bought Jacobs wool before and it was never this easy on the hands. I will definitely buy again.
