We have created a yarn kit for the official 2024 Shetland Wool Week knitting pattern the ‘Islesburgh Toorie’. Our version uses Jamieson and Smith yarns. Jamieson and Smith was the original founder of Shetland Wool Week. The hat pattern has been exclusively designed by the Doull family as the SWW Patrons for 2024.

This year’s patron accolade has been presented to Addie and Margaret Doull from Islesburgh Farm in Northmavine, and their family, in recognition of their dedication to the Shetland Flock Book and commitment to preserving and championing the highest-quality Shetland wool.

Jamieson and Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight (fingering wt) version is what is pictured in the photo for the kit.  It includes the following colors:

Yarn A: Shade 36 - 1 ball (We include 2 balls  which is needed for the large size)

Yarn B: Shade 8; 1 ball

Yarn C: Shade 73, 1 ball

Yarn D: Shade 14, 1 ball

Yarn #: Shade 131, 1 ball
